Netflix’s “Punisher” Series Gets Release Date and New Trailer

Well, now we finally know that November 17 will see the debut of Frank Castle’s spin-off series on Netflix when actor John Bernthal reprises the character he redeemed in Daredevil‘s second season on Netflix.

Along with that reveal, Netflix gave us a new trailer for the series, which looks to bring more of the grit and gore that Punisher fans can expect.

What’s most intriguing to me is the way they appear to blend this series as both a prequel and sequel to the events in Daredevil.  It also looks like a return to form for Netflix and Marvel, who hit a bit of a rough patch with Luke Cage and Iron Fist.

All episodes will be available to stream on November 17th.

Hulu and Marvel Release first Official Trailer for “Runaways”

The next big series from Marvel is coming to Hulu, and while there’s been a level of mystique to it before, now we get a first-look trailer…officially.  Some of this stuff, you may have seen in a bootleg from ComicCon, but this is a little more hi-res.

The series looks like a solid watch.  The books were great and begged for an adaptation of some sort pretty much since its inception.

If you aren’t familiar with the books, the story revolves around 6 kids that discover their parents collectively form a super villain group called the Cabal.  The kids then “runaway” from their evil folks and end up doing battle against them.  That’s the premise and the first story arc in the comics… it sort of goes off the rails after that.  So no promises on what happens in the later seasons, but season 1 should be good TV.

The series hits Hulu on Tuesday, November 21st.

The Punisher Goes Ballistic in New Trailer for Netflix and Marvel

I don’t know if I can handle three Marvel/Netflix series a year.  If I’m not reviewing them, I watch them with my wife, and our time for such is limited.  We’re still working our way through The Defenders!

Anyway, the next one in the pipe is The Punisher, and Netflix dropped a bomb on us all today with the first full trailer for the series:

If you’ve been watching the Marvel stuff on Netflix, then you know that Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead, The Accountant) reprises his role from season 2 of Daredevil.  If you ask me, the role couldn’t be better cast, and the action looks sick here.

Interestingly enough, the date at the end of the video is obscured, so we still don’t have an official release date.

Maybe I’ll get to finish The Defenders.

Anyway, tell us what you think of the trailer below.

The Explosive Trailer for Season 8 of “The Walking Dead” Promises War!!

The trailer you are about to see is drastically different than anything The Walking Dead has put out in recent memory.  It’s different because of two things: 1) it’s kinda fun, and 2) it has hope.

That being said, it feels like a fan-trailer than an official trailer for season 8, but either way, there ya go!

And that’s how AMC celebrates SDCC.  After a very dark and haunting season 7, maybe they needed to show a little more glory and a little less gory to get people back on board?

The war is coming!  Negan better watch his ass, but then again…so better Rick.

The war begins 10/22/17.  Bring your shitting pants.
