Hulu and Marvel Release first Official Trailer for “Runaways”

The next big series from Marvel is coming to Hulu, and while there’s been a level of mystique to it before, now we get a first-look trailer…officially.  Some of this stuff, you may have seen in a bootleg from ComicCon, but this is a little more hi-res.

The series looks like a solid watch.  The books were great and begged for an adaptation of some sort pretty much since its inception.

If you aren’t familiar with the books, the story revolves around 6 kids that discover their parents collectively form a super villain group called the Cabal.  The kids then “runaway” from their evil folks and end up doing battle against them.  That’s the premise and the first story arc in the comics… it sort of goes off the rails after that.  So no promises on what happens in the later seasons, but season 1 should be good TV.

The series hits Hulu on Tuesday, November 21st.

The Punisher Goes Ballistic in New Trailer for Netflix and Marvel

I don’t know if I can handle three Marvel/Netflix series a year.  If I’m not reviewing them, I watch them with my wife, and our time for such is limited.  We’re still working our way through The Defenders!

Anyway, the next one in the pipe is The Punisher, and Netflix dropped a bomb on us all today with the first full trailer for the series:

If you’ve been watching the Marvel stuff on Netflix, then you know that Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead, The Accountant) reprises his role from season 2 of Daredevil.  If you ask me, the role couldn’t be better cast, and the action looks sick here.

Interestingly enough, the date at the end of the video is obscured, so we still don’t have an official release date.

Maybe I’ll get to finish The Defenders.

Anyway, tell us what you think of the trailer below.

Netflix and Marvel Smash Out a New Trailer for “The Defenders”

I’m ashamed of myself, I really am.  With everything else that’s come and gone this weekend, I missed one of the most exciting and action-packed trailers to come around for a TV Show.

If you haven’t been watching Marvel’s Netflix offerings (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage Iron Fist) this may not mean that much to you.  The Defenders is the culmination of those series, just like Marvel did with The Avengers on the film side.  But if you haven’t…what is wrong with you?  I know people have varying opinions on Cage Fist, but Daredevil is pretty universally praised, and has even spawned a spin-off series in this Fall’s Punisher.

Marvel’s The Defenders follows Daredevil AKA Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Jessica
Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist AKA Danny Rand (Finn Jones), a quartet of singular heroes with one common goal – to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who reluctantly realize they just might be stronger when teamed together.
The series is executive produced by showrunner Marco Ramirez (Marvel’s Daredevil
Season 2, Fear the Walking Dead), Douglas Petrie (Marvel’s Daredevil, American Horror
Story), Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s Daredevil, Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Marvel’s Luke Cage, Marvel’s Iron Fist), and Jim Chory (Marvel’s Daredevil, Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Marvel’s Luke Cage, Marvel’s Iron Fist). The action-filled drama brings the four members of the street-level hero team known as The Defenders to the screen. Marvel’s The Defenders is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios for Netflix. All 8 original episodes of Marvel’s The Defenders will premiere exclusively on 18th August, 2017 on Netflix.
The cast also features Academy Award® and Emmy® nominee Sigourney Weaver
(Avatar, Alien), Elodie Yung (Marvel’s Daredevil, Gods of Egypt), Jessica Henwick (Marvel’s Iron Fist, Game of Thrones), Rosario Dawson (Marvel’s Luke Cage, Sin City), Rachael Taylor (Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Transformers), Eka Darville (Marvel’s Jessica Jones), Elden Henson (Marvel’s Daredevil, Hunger Games), Deborah Ann Woll (Marvel’s Daredevil, True Blood), Scott Glenn (Marvel’s Daredevil, The Leftovers), Carrie-Anne Moss (Marvel’s Jessica Jones, The Matrix Trilogy) and Simone Missick (Marvel’s Luke Cage).

The Defenders hits August 18, 2017 on Netflix.

Thor: Ragnarok Launches Epic New Trailer!

Another day, another trailer, but this one stands head and shoulders above the others.  Namely because of Marvel’s brand of action and their signature humor.

I was excited for this movie after the teaser hit a couple months ago, but this new trailer is packed full of excitement, and now I’m 100% psyched for this one.

Feast your eyes!

From that last scene, it looks like Hulk is gaining more of Banner’s intelligence, which may be just in time for Infinity War!

Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters on November 3, 2017.

Marvel’s Inhumans Releases First Trailer

Well, the moment we’ve been waiting for is finally here: we get a look at Marvel and ABC’s upcoming show, The Inhumans. Without further ado: Now, Lockjaw looks pretty cool, but I still can’t get over Medusa’s (played by Serinda Swan) hair, and Anson Mount doesn’t do much for me as Black Bolt, either.  Of …
