This “Ready Player One” Trailer Will Do Strange Things to Your Insides

From the very second I heard they were making this movie, I’ve been waiting to see how they would do it.  I knew Steve Spielberg was involved, so that gave me hope that it would be good…but this is better than I hoped.

The book Ready Player One was one of the coolest, most insane reading experiences of my life.  It follows a society that lives their entire lives within what’s basically an open-ended, user-generated MMORPG called the Oasis.  Students even attend school within the virtual world.

When the Oasis’ creator dies, he triggers the most insane scavenger hunt in history, which earns the winner a vast, ungodly fortune.  All you have to do is find three “Easter Egg” keys to unlock the prize.  Corporations have been built around the hunt, paying professionals top dollar to scour the endless Oasis for any sign.  Years go by, not even a sniff has been located, and people start to lose interest.  Until one day, some nobody nothing stumbles upon the first key, and the search for the others reaches new levels of hype.

The movie stars Tye Sheridan (X-Men: Apocalypse), Olivia Cooke (Bates Motel), Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead), T.J. Miller (Deadpool), & Mark Rylance (The BFG), and is directed by Steven Spielberg who directed JawsIndiana JonesE.T., and… ya know what, if you don’t know who Spielberg is, you don’t deserve for me to tell you.

Ready Player One hits theaters and becomes everyone’s new favorite movie March 30, 2018.

The Explosive Trailer for Season 8 of “The Walking Dead” Promises War!!

The trailer you are about to see is drastically different than anything The Walking Dead has put out in recent memory.  It’s different because of two things: 1) it’s kinda fun, and 2) it has hope.

That being said, it feels like a fan-trailer than an official trailer for season 8, but either way, there ya go!

And that’s how AMC celebrates SDCC.  After a very dark and haunting season 7, maybe they needed to show a little more glory and a little less gory to get people back on board?

The war is coming!  Negan better watch his ass, but then again…so better Rick.

The war begins 10/22/17.  Bring your shitting pants.

Netflix and Marvel Smash Out a New Trailer for “The Defenders”

I’m ashamed of myself, I really am.  With everything else that’s come and gone this weekend, I missed one of the most exciting and action-packed trailers to come around for a TV Show.

If you haven’t been watching Marvel’s Netflix offerings (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage Iron Fist) this may not mean that much to you.  The Defenders is the culmination of those series, just like Marvel did with The Avengers on the film side.  But if you haven’t…what is wrong with you?  I know people have varying opinions on Cage Fist, but Daredevil is pretty universally praised, and has even spawned a spin-off series in this Fall’s Punisher.

Marvel’s The Defenders follows Daredevil AKA Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Jessica
Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist AKA Danny Rand (Finn Jones), a quartet of singular heroes with one common goal – to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who reluctantly realize they just might be stronger when teamed together.
The series is executive produced by showrunner Marco Ramirez (Marvel’s Daredevil
Season 2, Fear the Walking Dead), Douglas Petrie (Marvel’s Daredevil, American Horror
Story), Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s Daredevil, Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Marvel’s Luke Cage, Marvel’s Iron Fist), and Jim Chory (Marvel’s Daredevil, Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Marvel’s Luke Cage, Marvel’s Iron Fist). The action-filled drama brings the four members of the street-level hero team known as The Defenders to the screen. Marvel’s The Defenders is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios for Netflix. All 8 original episodes of Marvel’s The Defenders will premiere exclusively on 18th August, 2017 on Netflix.
The cast also features Academy Award® and Emmy® nominee Sigourney Weaver
(Avatar, Alien), Elodie Yung (Marvel’s Daredevil, Gods of Egypt), Jessica Henwick (Marvel’s Iron Fist, Game of Thrones), Rosario Dawson (Marvel’s Luke Cage, Sin City), Rachael Taylor (Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Transformers), Eka Darville (Marvel’s Jessica Jones), Elden Henson (Marvel’s Daredevil, Hunger Games), Deborah Ann Woll (Marvel’s Daredevil, True Blood), Scott Glenn (Marvel’s Daredevil, The Leftovers), Carrie-Anne Moss (Marvel’s Jessica Jones, The Matrix Trilogy) and Simone Missick (Marvel’s Luke Cage).

The Defenders hits August 18, 2017 on Netflix.

This “Stranger Things” Season 2 Trailer Goes Upside Down

Stranger Things was the surprise break-out hit of last summer.  This Fall, the new season hits, and it looks intense.

Of course, the trailer below came out over the weekend at SDCC, and I’m slowly playing catch up on that, so here you are, in case you haven’t seen it:

I love the 80s setting.  I was a little younger than these boys in ’84, but it still feels very familiar.  The Ghostbusters homage is on-point, and the return of Eleven (while a surprise to no one) is exciting.  Season 2 looks much creepier than the first.  Bring it on!

Stranger Things Season 2 hits 10/27/17.

Thor: Ragnarok Launches Epic New Trailer!

Another day, another trailer, but this one stands head and shoulders above the others.  Namely because of Marvel’s brand of action and their signature humor.

I was excited for this movie after the teaser hit a couple months ago, but this new trailer is packed full of excitement, and now I’m 100% psyched for this one.

Feast your eyes!

From that last scene, it looks like Hulk is gaining more of Banner’s intelligence, which may be just in time for Infinity War!

Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters on November 3, 2017.

Kingsman Sequel Scores New Trailer

I was a fan of the original Kingsman movie, and what I’m seeing of the sequel, I’ll probably be a fan of that, too.  What can I say?  I have a soft-spot for over-the-top action and campy spy gadgets. Plus, let’s be honest, this movie has one hell of a cast. Kingsman: The Golden Circle hits …

Troll and I Gets Release on Switch

Maximum Games announced today that their debut Nintendo game, Troll and I, will be coming (finally!) to the hybrid console this August. Of course, the game is already out on Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and those versions will be getting a major update on July 21.  This patch will bring new features to …
