Fox-Men Series Develops New Mutant

Fox’s untitled X-Men drama from Burn Notice creator Matt Nix is filling its roster pretty quickly.

Today, the mutant drama adds Sean Teale, best known from the short-lived Syfy drama Incorporated.

Teale’s character Marcos Diaz, who goes by the mutant name Eclipse. The character is described as “a natural rebel compelled by circumstances to cooperate with others, Marcos is a passionate and strong-willed fighter who sometimes lets his emotions overrule reason.”  Eclipse, who has the ability to absorb and manipulate photons, has no comic book roots and is instead created for the purpose of this show.

In case you haven’t yet heard, the show focuses on two normal, human parents who are forced to go on the run from the government and their Sentinel robots when their children begin to exhibit signs of mutant abilities.  The family finds shelter with an underground mutant group.  From the character’s description, I would wager a guess that Eclipse is a resistant fighter among the mutant underground, rather than the mutant son.

Stay tuned as more develops and additional cast members are announced.
