Japan Getting a Hefty Switch Launch

Well, isn’t this a kicker.

While we slept, Famitsu published an article regarding the Switch’s Day-One e-shop offerings in Japan.  That list includes 20 games, only some of which will be available to us Westerners:

  • I Am Setsuna (Square Enix)
  • Super Bomberman R (KONAMI)
  • The Legend of Zelda Bless the Wild (Nintendo)
  • Dragon Quest Heroes I · II (Square Enix)
  • Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence with Power-Up Kit (Koei Tecmo Games)
  • Puyo Puyo Tetris (Sega Games)
  • Disgaea 5 Complete (Nippon Ichi Software)
  • 1-2-Switch (Nintendo)
    Digital only titles:
  • SnipperClips: Cut It Out Together (Nintendo)
  • Arcade Archives NEOGEO The King of Fighters ’98 (Hamster)
  • Arcade Archives NEOGEO Metal Slug 3 (Hamster)
  • Arcade Archives NEOGEO Shock Troopers (Hamster)
  • Arcade Archives NEOGEO Waku Waku 7 (Hamster)
  • Arcade Archives NEOGEO World Heroes Perfect (Hamster)
  • VOEZ (Fly Hai Works)
  • Othello (Ark System Works)
  • New Frontier Days: Founding Pioneers (Arc System Works)
  • Soratobu Bunbun Baan (Poisoft)
  • Soldam: Blooming Declaration (City Connection)
  • Blaster Master Zero (Inti Creates)

As the system is region-free, you could pick up some games from a Japanese import site, but there would just be the little problem of not knowing what they’re saying…

At least they aren’t getting Shovel Knight!

Hopefully us Americans and our fake news will get an announcement as the day unfolds.
